Hibret Bank has continued its support to the coronavirus response. The established taskforce, chaired by the Bank’s CEO, actively works to ensure all the necessary safety cautions are being taken by the Bank and also aims to ascertain business continuity. The Taskforce, backed up by the Board of Directors, shall continue to work in collaboration with stakeholders to support the fight against the coronavirus spread.


As part of its continued support to the coronavirus response and based on the Bank’s Management & the Bank’s Board of Directors decision, Hibret Bank has donated ETB 5,000,000.00 (Five Million) to the Ministry of Health. The Bank would also like to express its readiness to stand with the government in supporting the fight against the virus spread.


Hibret Bank calls up on the attention of its customers to implement its advice on using its electronic banking services from the safety of their homes without the need to visit the Bank. Through Hibret’s Online and Mobile banking services customers can view and conduct their banking transactions. Again, it is worth noting that the Bank’s online banking has the feature to make transfers online even to accounts at other Banks. These channels are great solutions to implement social distancing with less stress. There are no charges associated with using Hibret Bank’s online or mobile banking services.
