In line with its custom of constantly adapting itself with the ever changing world of technology, United Bank is pleased to announce the improvement of its Mobile Banking Service – HIBIR MOBILE – enhanced with new SMS technology; Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD).

This new service gives customers a full access to account information, while also allowing them to perform transactions any time of day from any location, demanding from them, only a subscription for the service and the need to carry a standard tone dialing cellular phone.

The range of services rendered via Hibir Mobile include:  fund transfer to own as well as other accounts, balance enquiry, receive mini statements on transactions made, view details regarding loan status and letters of credit (LCs), request for cheque book and a number of other services.

The service is rendered through the short code number *811# telephone line with easy to use application and a carefully designed security system. United Bank has started rendering the service after getting the approval from the National Bank of Ethiopia to go ahead with the provision of the service to its esteemed customers.
