Hibret Bank Announces Celebration of Its 25th Anniversary

Hibret Bank one of the pioneer private banks in Ethiopia that commenced its banking service in 1998 announced the celebration of its 25th Year anniversary on the press conference held at Hibret Bank Head Office. During the press conference, the Bank announced that various programs will be executed to celebrate the anniversary and the Bank will also extend donations to selected ten charity organizations
based on pre-set criteria.

During the 25th year celebration announcement press conference Ato Melaku Kebede CEO of
Hibret Bank said ‘Over the past 25 years Hibret Bank has registered consistent growth. The
Bank also set industry standards in many areas, championed in introducing new banking
technologies to the industry and built in-house capability of upgrading systems’’.
Ato Melaku also said ‘The Bank played a significant role in creating all-inclusive
environment ensuring accessibility and financial inclusion.

Over the years, Hibret Bank steadily continued to abide by its motto of “United, We prosper”
and synergized with different partners to come up with financial solutions that meet
customers’ demands. In this regard, the Bank established partnerships with big brands such as
the Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiotelecom, M-Pesa and Safaricom that enabled it to offer digital
banking services to customers.

Following the press conference, the Board Chairperson of the Bank, Engineer Samrawit
Getamesay, officially opened the 25th years silver jubilee anniversary which was said to be
celebrated through various programs to be executed in the coming days. On the opening
program, the 25th Silver Jubilee anniversary logo was unveiled and a photo exhibition
showing Hibret Bank’s journey of 25 Years was also opened by the Board Chair person.
The official opening of the 25th anniversary celebration was attended by the Bank’s Board
Members, Management Members and staff and invited media representatives.
